One True Beauty Video

I'd recently heard a song on a 9/11 tribute video on Facebook that was really emotional and I just had to find out what it was and create my own video using it. I eventually got hold of a full version of it, by Enya called Only Time. I'd been meaning to create a special video for Milly using many photo's we'd gathered over the past year or so, so when she was asleep today I knocked this up in about half an hour. Let me know what you think!

26th Birthday

Wasn't overly looking forward to ageing yet another year. Doesn't seem 2 minutes since I turned 25 and this year is even more significant as it marks 10 years to the day that I left school. That's a scary thought, though not officially true as I did stay on for an additional year before a further 2 or 3 at college after.

Not much planned for the day other than I wasn't at work. Milly was on her last day at placement so she'd be even more upset than I was. Woke at around 10:15am, which is fairly early for me on a day off and after reading a few birthday messages from friends and family, I opened a couple of cards before spending a couple of hours tidying the house. My mum and Tim came round about 11:30am to give me a few cards from them and other family members before saying goodbye as they were off to Skegness for a few days.

I met Milly for dinner, bringing her back home and enjoying a nice batch of chicken nuggets, fresh from the oven. She was already quite upset having said goodbye to a few children already that she wouldn't see later. I took her back to work and came back with intent on sorting the bottom floor of the house out for her as she began teaching singing lessons tonight to one of the children from school.

She was a lot more upset in the afternoon having said goodbye to all the children, receiving numerous gifts and cards off them and the staff. We went home and after a few minutes more upset, she prepared for her lesson. It sounded like it went really well and it's good that she's doing something she really likes and gets a little bit of money for it.

We had some bacon sandwiches and some cakes that she had made for me before she gave me a few presents and a card. The main present was sweet because she'd created it herself. It was a canvas that she'd fingerpainted a Liverbird, football pitch and other random bits on. The card was as sweet as she'd done it through www.moonpig.com and uploaded a really nice photo of us onto it and left a really sweet message. I also got a couple of DVDs.

We went to see her mum so I could get my cards and a few gifts from them and we ended up staying over for the night as we chatted late into the evening, watching TV and enjoying a few drinks. Chris came in as we were heading for bed. He'd been into Mansfield and was a lickle bit tipsy, deciding to poke me and Milly whenever we were in his proximity! All in all it was a good day, but yet another birthday that had quickly come and gone.
